I used to have a list of LET 2009 takers, and I remembered that the people who did not pass, were the same people who had an issue during the exams - particularly about the exam’s instruction - which were not followed. I realized how important following and doing instructions were. So I figured, maybe I could come up with a quick-look reference about some of usual questionnaires when taking an exam.
Take a look.
Analyze - separate a topic into its essential parts AND discuss each one.
Argue - state reasons, evidence, and examples For or Against a point of view.
Classify - arrange people, things, or concepts into groups
Compare - explain similarities
Contrast - explain differences
Define - give the meaning of, with examples AND explanations
Discuss - state key characteristics
Evaluate - examine positives and negatives, strengths and weakness
Explain - clarify by offering reasons, defining, comparing and so on.
How - discuss the means or method by which something occurred
Illustrate - give examples
Relate - discuss connections among events or concepts
Why - explain the causes of an occurrence or its purpose
There, hope you’d be able to use these when needed!
